Cleanup update and Golf Course Status

Well, I wish I had much better news than I do. The tree company could not access the golf course today due to the rain last night. The entry points were to wet and they almost got stuck trying to gain access. Because of the hills, and our 6' wide cart paths, access has been a major issue. Combined with that, most of the entry points to the course are very narrow and it is difficult for there bucket truck to make the turn. They need there bucket truck to get the tree limb on 3/18 which is the lynch pin in our opening. We had them working on trees around the maintenance department and clubhouse today, so progress was still made, just not the progress I had hoped for.

My goal is to get them on the course in the morning and have them take care of the limb on 18 first thing. If that happens, we will open the front 9 at noon and the back 9 around 4pm. I will send out a text alert at 10 am with the status of the course, if your not on the text alert system yet, now is great time to get added to it. The good news is the course is in fantastic shape, the 0.60" of rain we got last night has everything glowing and loving life and we didn't have any more damage from the winds.

I took some photos of where the tree company came on the golf course yesterday and the tracks they left to give perspective to the challenge of getting on the course. Ironically, while I was taking these photos a tree limb came down on Phoenix road, it was a tree top that had been hanging very similarly to the one on 3/18 and the slight breeze we had finally broke it free. It narrowly missed a car as it came down. The last photo is of where it came to rest on the road, it reminded me of why the course is closed. As the hanging limbs dry out they become brittle and the slightest breeze can break them free from where they are hanging.
